Though hard to accept, there is potential to do harm while trying to serve those on the margins. While being educated on these principles and even agreeing with them is important, there is still work to be done to translate theory into new ways of doing ministry. Join Matt Miller from Send Me St. Louis for a “next steps” session full of practical tips and ideas to transition from theory to practice when it comes to serving the poor and impoverished in healthy, respectful, and life-giving ways.
Those who attend this training will be invited to dive deeper through a unique learning cohort (beginning in Spring 2017). You will have an opportunity to identify and develop specific ministry activities that will help your church/organization move beyond transactional service to deeper, transformational relationships with those you serve. The sessions will include book studies, discussion, and guided exercises between gatherings.
*NOTE: After sending out our “Last Call” Alert, our spaces for this training are now filled, however, there are usually some cancellations the week prior to the event. If you’d like to be added to the wait list, please email Mandy at: mandy@sendmestlouis.org. We apologize for any frustration, but space is limited. Thank you for your understanding!
