Description:
This workshop is designed to equip churches to strengthen their benevolence ministries. This workshop will foster both compassion and structure. This training guides ministry teams through the fundamentals of Trauma-Informed Care, helps build realistic expectations for helping relationships, and establishes essential safety and privacy protocols. Through this practical application workshop, and expert-led session, churches will gain the tools to develop sustainable systems that honor the dignity of those they serve while protecting volunteers. It’s a thoughtful and hands-on opportunity to serve with both wisdom and grace in meeting the unique needs of each community.

Lilly Blake, Restoration House STL
Lilly Blake is a wife, mother, and servant of the Lord. She has served as Co-founder and Director of Programming for 6 years at Restoration House. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Oklahoma State University, Lilly went on to begin a Master of Divinity Program at Covenant Theological Seminary. Professionally, Lilly has forged a path for 15 plus years in social work and continues to find ways to merge faith and social work for a whole person approach to care. In 2022, Lilly established Into the Looking Glass Coaching to equip individuals, families, and organizations to walk through experiences with a trauma informed faith based approach. When not working, Lilly and her husband are the Youth and Family Pastors at their home church and she enjoys working out, reading, writing, and spending time with her family.
