Join experts from The Chalmers Center to focus on a Gospel-informed approach for helping people experiencing poverty. You’ll learn about a developmental model that incorporates thoughtful benevolence giving with an eye toward walking with those who are ready to pursue a different future. Lunch is provided for this four-hour workshop.

• Human Flourishing — What are people for? What does it mean to be well and whole as we fulfill our intended purpose?
• Defining Poverty — What does the Bible tell us about what it means to be poor? How is poverty more than just the lack of material resources?
• Better Practices — How can we work wisely in the field of poverty alleviation? What are principles that can help us develop better practices moving forward?
• Action Plans — What is my ministry doing well and what might we need to change? What are some immediate next steps we can take?
