Stepping out in ministry often means stepping outside of our comfort zones. When we reach across barriers within our communities, we sometimes find ourselves in unfamiliar territory. Join us for an in-depth workshop designed to prepare leaders and volunteers for ministry in the margins. Having a deeper understanding of those whom we serve often leads to more effective outreach!

Guest Presenter:

Hannah Shanks (MSW, former Events & Communications Coordinator with Send Me St. Louis) will lead us through this interactive poverty simulation! Attendees will learn about the realities of life in poverty, engage in some budget & spending exercises, reflect and discuss what has been learned, and leave with a better understanding of those who are struggling financially in their communities.
