Without a roadmap (or GPS), the best conceived road trip can become a disaster. The same can be said for an exciting social service outreach endeavor. Learn how to build your social service outreach by starting with defining your values, mission, and vision statements. You’ll also learn how to get to know your community, where to look for community partnerships, how to identify and match your congregation’s strengths to service opportunities, and how to define the changes you want your outreach to make.  You will leave with an extensive collection of useful tools and resources that you can immediately start using in your congregation. Part 2 (offered in Fall 2015) will delve into the details of putting your outreach ministry together and how to evaluate outcomes.

This training is perfect for leaders and high-level staff of congregational outreach programs and faith-based social service agencies.
