HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT “GIVE A DAY. GET A DISNEY DAY.”?
… a program to celebrate good things people do for their communities. As a way of thanking volunteers for their good work, in 2010, Disney is giving one day admission to a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland ® theme park, free to volunteers.
God is giving us an awesome opportunity to:
- Be visible in the community by offering as many opportunities as possible
- Invite the community to partner with us in serving others
- Send our members into the community to serve with as many organizations as possible

Send Me St. Louis is designating Saturday, February 20, 2010 as Lutheran “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” We have an awesome opportunity to come together as the body of Christ to show the St. Louis Metro area what the Lutheran community can do when we all pull together.
Here is how you can be part of these efforts:
- ACT NOW!!!! Time is of the essence.
Only 1 million tickets available, get your opportunity in quickly, sign up to volunteer quickly!!
- “OPT- IN” … be a community Partner.
Register your church, school, outreach ministry before November 30, 2009 even if you are not yet sure of your volunteer opportunity. There is no penalty for signing up and it only takes 2 minutes! Go to: http://vop.handsonnetwork.org to opt in and learn more.
- POST OPPORTUNITIES
Community Partners – this means you - Disney is requesting opportunities be posted by December 10, 2009 so they may be verified prior to January 1, 2010 start of volunteer registration.
- SEND VOLUNTEERS
Beginning January 1, 2010 volunteers need to register and sign up for opportunities at www.disneyparks.com

The Staff of Send Me St. Louis is available to help you brainstorm ideas, plan and organize your volunteers and volunteer opportunities for St. Louis’s first Lutheran “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.”
